There are many reasons why manufacturing with organic cotton is important. Organic cotton is grown without harmful pesticides or fertilisers, which is nice to know when you are dressing your precious bundles in our clothes. However, just as important is the huge flow-on effect this has on the farmers and communities from where the cotton is grown. Organic cotton farming methods are free from harmful pesticides and fertilisers that harm the soil and pollute the waterways for future generations.
All of our garments are certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), which is recognised as the world’s leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well. This means that our factory in India work under fair trade terms and conditions, ensuring their workers are paid fairly, do not work excessive hours, have the right to collective bargaining, receive no discrimination and many other important humane criteria. We would like to thank you for choosing organic.
